Charles Richard-Hamelin, Meagan Milatz and Kevin Chen cross paths, challenge one another and come together in a spirit of camaraderie worthy of Mozart. Mozart in G minor: a rare colour, almost an emotional signature. In Symphony No. 25, the young Mozart bursts forth with fiery Sturm und Drang and a dramatic intensity his contemporaries would not have expected from a seventeen-year-old. Symphony No. 40 returns to the same key, but clothes it in breathtaking maturity: masterful balance, inner tension and tragic purity. Between the two comes a thoroughly Mozartian flight of fancy: the Concerto for Three Pianos in F major, a three-way conversation full of playfulness, pastoral charm and unexpected exchanges.
