Labadie dirige «L'italienne» de Mendelssohn - programme condensé

This condensed concert programme opens with the world of Orpheus, the mythical figure capable of moving the shades through the sheer power of his song. In Gluck’s music, clarity, expressiveness and profound humanity shine through the overture and ballet music. This radiance finds a natural echo in Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony, composed at the age of 24 and brimming with joy, inspired by ruins, landscapes and the exuberance of nature. Bernard Labadie’s refined conducting brings freshness and vitality to this musical experience.
