Le meilleur de Bach par Latry

With Bach, nothing is ever ordinary: everything is masterful. A brilliant composer, tireless teacher and meticulous craftsman, he could do everything with organs—tune them, repair them, tame them… and above all, bring out their full glory. Much of his work is intimately connected to the organ, inspiring the French organ school century after century. Olivier Latry, a leading figure of the instrument, celebrates this multifaceted genius through the art of transcription: Bach revisited by Bach himself, then reinvented by Dupré, Duruflé, Vierne and Widor. A joyful display of power, invention and admiration, in which the organ becomes an orchestra, a cathedral and a playground.
