L’Italie sacrée de Vivaldi à Puccini

Italy’s sunny warmth infuses the vocal beauty of its music, known for its natural elegance and lyricism. This concert by the Chœur Métropolitain highlights a tradition in which the voice holds a central and deeply human place. Puccini’s Messa di Gloria already reveals the melodic richness and expressive power that would bring the composer renown. The program also features two pillars of Italy’s vast choral heritage: Monteverdi and Vivaldi, two Venetian composers whose luminous sacred music has endured through the centuries.
