Labadie dirige «L'italienne» de Mendelssohn

Bernard Labadie conducts the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal in a morning performance of a programme filled with joy, sunshine and youthful energy. Composed when Mendelssohn was just 24, the luminous Symphony No. 4, “Italian,” draws inspiration from ancient ruins, sun-drenched landscapes and the exuberance of nature. Rising star Alexandra Dovgan also performs Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, whose musical language remains close to Haydn’s classicism.
