L’imaginaire symphonique de Richard Strauss

This matinée celebrates orchestral verve and colour! Don Juan unfolds with passionate energy and virtuosic brilliance, followed by the mischievous Till Eulenspiegel, in which Strauss depicts the famous prankster’s antics with humour and flair. In the second half, Don Quixote brings greater emotional depth: Alisa Weilerstein’s cello delicately embodies the aspirations and disillusionment of Cervantes’ hero, under the inspired direction of Rafael Payare.
