Le Vent du Nord

Le Vent du Nord presents Voisinages, a new concert directed by Michel Faubert featuring songs from the group’s 13th album. The quintet of singers and multi-instrumentalists brings together five voices in harmony, foot percussion, hurdy-gurdy, bouzouki, Québécois bombarde, fiddles and accordion to celebrate a rich, vibrant and inventive traditional music scene. An invitation to dance, be moved and explore the theme of neighbouring connections: musical ties with Irish and Scottish traditions, American folk, and songs from Acadia and French-speaking communities across the Americas, as well as connections with rivers, history, friendship and love.
