Join the Ballet Mexicain du Montreal in a bold and contemporary celebration of Mexican culture, where the spirit of the carpa meets the glamour of cabaret and the timeless tradition of Día de Muertos. Step into a vibrant and mysterious world where tradition, fantasy and spectacle come together. Inspired by the legendary Mexican cabarets and carpas—the popular tent theatres that once brought music, comedy, dance and irreverent entertainment to audiences across Mexico—and rooted in the rich traditions of Día de Muertos, this multidisciplinary show celebrates life, death and the art of storytelling. Through a dynamic fusion of dance, live music, poetry, drag, circus and theatrical performance, the show transports audiences into a colourful universe filled with passion, humour, sensuality and imagination. Here, Catrinas come to life, the dead return to celebrate, and the stage becomes a magical Mexican cabaret where anything can happen.
