CADAVRE EXQUIS TENTACLE TRIBE

Presented as a premiere in partnership with Festival International Danse Encore, this new creation by Tentacle Tribe explores an octet with sewn-together sleeves, generating powerful, surreal choreographic images. The research began in Norway, inspired by surrealist painters and the world of dreams, notably Dalí and Pomet. From a duet with sleeves sewn together to an octet connected by strips of fabric, this exploration plays with the distortion and transformation of the body. Sleeves become long extensions of the arms: tentacle-like forms that create a fluid, elastic architecture, inviting play, metamorphosis and the constant reinvention of the body.
