Apesanteur

For more than twenty years, Quatuor ESCA has made its mark on the local music scene with its inspiring presence and artistic boldness. These exceptional musicians have accompanied artists such as Jean Leloup, Les Sœurs Boulay, Harry Manx, Diane Dufresne, Bruno Pelletier and Half Moon Run on stage and television. Through these collaborations, ESCA has developed a distinctive sound where classical music meets pop. With APESANTEUR, ESCA steps into the spotlight and invites audiences into a bright, sensitive and decidedly modern musical world. The show weaves original works from their latest album together with fresh interpretations of songs that have shaped their journey. References to Ingrid St-Pierre, Alexandra Stréliski, Daniel Bélanger, Half Moon Run and the Beatles shine through the quartet’s sensitivity and virtuosity. With elegant staging and a close connection to the audience, APESANTEUR breaks down boundaries between genres. An immersive, accessible and deeply moving musical experience. This concert is supported by the Conseil québécois de la musique.
