Tout ce qu'il reste

Tout ce qu’il reste is a creation by Diana León and Paco Ziel that brings contemporary dance and classical music into dialogue through fourteen Schubert lieder, short songs for voice and piano. This 60-minute work features the two choreographers alongside baritone Olivier Bergeron and pianist Chloé Dumoulin. Inspired by Schubert’s ability to express complex emotional nuances, the artists explore a fundamental question: what does humanity need right now? The four performers interact through movement, exchanges with the piano and vocal explorations. Some lieder are performed in their original form, while others are reinterpreted or deconstructed. Commissioned by the National Arts Centre, Danse Danse, Salle Bourgie and Domaine Forget de Charlevoix.
