Racontars arctiques

At the dawn of the 1950s, a handful of daring hunters are scattered along Greenland’s northeastern coast. Confinement, solitude, rationing and harsh weather put their composure to the test. Yet the wilderness, vast expanses of snow and ice, and these companions’ improbable stories inspire a thirst for adventure and freedom. Based on Jørn Riel’s stories filled with humour and humanity, “Racontars arctiques” brings together puppetry, storytelling, live music and sound effects in a world that is both poetic and hilarious. Created by the collective La ruée vers l’or, in co-production with Théâtre de la Pire Espèce. This performance is intended for students in Grades 5 and 6 and Secondary 1 to 3.
