After touring 96 cities in 17 countries, Dance Me – Music by Leonard Cohen returns to Montréal for one final time. This tribute by Ballets Jazz Montréal brings Cohen’s unmistakable voice to life in a captivating “dance concert.” Sixteen songs, including Suzanne, So Long, Marianne, Famous Blue Raincoat, Hallelujah and Dance Me to the End of Love, trace a path through his work. Created by choreographers Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Ihsan Rustem with dramaturge Eric Jean, from an original idea by Louis Robitaille, Dance Me blends their artistic worlds in physical, generous dancing performed by Ballets Jazz Montréal’s 14 artists. Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes, without intermission. Contains strobe lighting, smoke effects and partial nudity.
