Reminder

Inspired by D. H. Lawrence’s landmark novel, long censored for its boldness, British choreographer Cathy Marston creates a narrative ballet of remarkable emotional power. With sensitivity and humanity, she explores physical impulses, the longing for freedom and the reclamation of desire as a vital necessity. In an England scarred by the First World War and bound by social hierarchies and rigid morality, Constance Chatterley feels trapped in a marriage devoid of physical intimacy and desire. Her encounter with Mellors, the estate’s gamekeeper, opens an unexpected door in her ordered life. An intense and unlikely relationship develops between them—a love that defies convention and disrupts the established order. Through intimate, deeply sensitive dance, Lady Chatterley tells the story of a love that dares to exist beyond convention, reminding us that freedom often begins with the courage to listen to one’s own heart.
