Place des Arts | Charles Brecard x 7Starr | Danse Danse

With SKLTR (pronounced “skul-tur”), krump moves from the street to the stage with explosive force, bringing together two distinctive voices from radically different backgrounds. A striking, cathartic collision of aesthetics. Born in the ghettos of Los Angeles in the early 2000s, krump is a dance of raw, authentic expression. Its sharp, impetuous movements channel power, tension and collective impulses through the body. Vladimir “7Starr” Laurore and Charles “Brøken” Brecard unite their respective approaches — 7Skopez and FLUIDIFY — to create SKLTR, set in a world inspired by dark fantasy. The stage becomes an arena where legendary warriors confront their demons, fall, rise again and resist. Five performers, leading figures in krump, unleash a dense energy threaded with continuous flows. Bodies shift between intensity and release, precision and abandon. Set to an original score by Tomas Furey, hypnotic choreography takes shape as fury becomes a force for transformation.
