Airs Givrés

Jazz singer Sonia Johnson, accompanied on piano, presents Airs givrés, a collection of songs as unique as falling snowflakes, carried by her sensitive, resonant voice. Released in November 2021, this mini-album brings together winter-themed lyrics from different eras, supported by the spirited and sensitive arrangements of pianist and co-producer Luc Beaugrand, with whom she won the JUNO for best jazz album in 2012. Simple piano-centred arrangements feature touches of keyboard, kalimba and vocal improvisation.
