Holiday in Zürich
Holiday in Zürich, by Colleen Murphy, is a tender and darkly funny portrait of life, love, and confronting the inevitable. Frank and Clementine (Tiny), a happily married Canadian couple in their 70s, prepare for a hard-earned, jam-packed trip to Switzerland. While Frank faces the most difficult challenge of his life, Tiny looks forward to sightseeing, romance, and European cuisine. As they pack, their different expectations collide in ways that are both funny and deeply moving. Set almost entirely in their bedroom, the play explores the unspoken fears, small negotiations, and tenderness through which ordinary people try to meet the end of things together. This world premiere is directed by Micheline Chevrier and stars Danielle Desormeaux and Brian Dooley.
