Summer, 1976 - Arts Club On Tour

An Arts Club Theatre Company Presentation A SEASON OF INDEPENDENCE During one extraordinary summer, free-spirited housewife Alice and serious single mother Diana forge an unlikely bond. While their young daughters play, they open up to each other about the realities of their lives and connect in ways that neither of them could have expected. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of Proof, this moving drama explores the profound impact of female friendships, and how every relationship, no matter how long it lasts, has the power to change a life forever. 'Sensitive...a warm and beguiling memory play.... The closer you look, and listen, and the more you reflect upon it, the deeper grow its rewards' —The Wall Street Journal Summer, 1976 is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
