In this comedy of manners by Oscar Wilde, confirmed bachelors Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff escape their social responsibilities and the boredom of everyday Victorian city life through the questionable art of “bunburying.” But their clever deceptions risk exposure when they decide to court the delightful yet fierce Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Can they win their beloveds’ hearts and obtain the blessing of the steely Lady Bracknell? A trivial comedy for serious people, this witty and absurd play is sure to win your heart.
