The Velveteen Rabbit

This modern-day reimagining of The Velveteen Rabbit follows a shy toy who wants nothing more than to become “real”—to be truly loved by the child who takes care of him. Through the unbreakable bond between the Rabbit and the Girl, audiences meet outlandish characters and navigate major toy-world crises, with singing, dancing and plenty of fun along the way. Presented by the female-led collective Rule of Three, the performance combines live music, choreography and shadow puppetry. Recommended for Pre-K to Grade 6, this 60-minute show explores themes of self-worth, identity, empathy and loss.
