Ocean Blue

Ocean Blue, a production by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, is an immersive theatrical adventure through the wonders of ocean life. Charlie, a young crab who dreams of a different life, is snatched by a gull before a shark ambush sends him tumbling into “The Gully,” a deep-sea trench in the Atlantic Ocean. His journey takes him through the Atlantic, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans alongside migrating whales and sea turtles. Along the way, he learns to survive, outsmart predators, and discover how courage, kindness, and friendship can change even the smallest creature’s life. This one-hour theatrical experience combines sophisticated puppetry, dynamic digital projection, and original music to bring the underwater world to life. Filled with ocean facts, playful humour, and moments of wonder, Ocean Blue is designed for children aged 5 and up and the grown-ups who share the adventure with them.
