Drop-in mini-tennis

Season: fall 2026.

Drop-in mini-tennis for all ages at École secondaire Hormisdas-Gamelin, in gym C-130-131. Capacity: 24 participants at a time.

Sessions take place Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., October 4–December 13, 2026. There are no sessions on October 25, November 8 and 15, or December 6.

No advance registration is required. Admission is free with a valid Accès Gatineau + card, which is required at this school. Payment is not available on site. Show your valid card at reception.

For the first timeslot, courts are assigned in order of arrival. For later timeslots, people who have not yet had a court receive priority; vacant courts are allocated by a draw among players already present. Stay on site to keep your place in the queue. Groups of two or four are encouraged; individual players may join willing partners when available. Doubles may be required when attendance is high. Where possible, players are grouped at beginner, intermediate or advanced level. A playing period generally lasts 45–55 minutes depending on the site, but it may be shortened.

Court access begins ten minutes before the activity. Lessons and private coaching are prohibited; only attendant-authorized drop-in practice is permitted. The municipal attendant may adjust arrangements when needed. Use of the change rooms is strongly recommended; bring a lock for your locker. Non-marking athletic shoes are required and boots are not permitted in the gym. Bring your water bottle.
