Open pickleball

Open pickleball for all ages at Centre sportif de Gatineau during the fall 2026 programme. Twelve courts on Sundays, eight on Mondays and Wednesdays, and four on Thursdays. An additional session takes place Monday, September 7, from 08:30 to 09:40 (eight courts). Non-member programme rates effective September 1, 2026: $7.50 per person under 18; $15 per adult aged 18–64; $7.50 per person aged 65 and over. Admission is free with a valid Accès Gatineau + card. No advance registration is required; participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, while the published court priority and rotation rules continue to apply. Courts are allocated in arrival order for the first playing period. In later periods, people who have not yet played have priority; remaining courts are assigned by a draw among players present. Stay on site to keep your place in the queue. Groups of two or four are encouraged; individual players may join willing partners when available. Doubles may be required when attendance is high. Where possible, players are grouped at beginner, intermediate or advanced level. The general instructions describe playing periods of 45–55 minutes depending on the site, sometimes shortened; also check the times of your chosen session. Court access begins ten minutes before the activity. This is open play: lessons and private coaching are prohibited. The municipal attendant may adapt arrangements to the circumstances. Using the changing rooms is recommended; bring a padlock for your locker. Non-marking athletic shoes are required and boots are not permitted in the gyms. Bring your own equipment; none is available to borrow or rent. At reception, show a valid Accès Gatineau + card for free admission; otherwise, the applicable non-member rate applies.
