On August 5, 1951, Hull is a hub of the jazz world. The Standish Hall, one of the city’s most popular clubs, is destroyed by fire. While the ashes are still smoldering, suspicion falls on Bébé d’Hull, a young singer who dreams of conquering the jazz scene. Through musical numbers worthy of the cabarets of the era, discover this seemingly ingénue-like young woman, as bold as she is mysterious, and why she seems to enjoy the new spotlight being cast on her.
