Parent-and-child drop-in badminton for children ages 12 and under accompanied by a parent at Centre sportif de Gatineau.
Capacity: eight courts, with four courts on September 5, 2026. Saturday sessions take place September 5, 12, 19 and 26, October 3, 10 and 17, November 14, and December 12, from 13:15 to 14:10 and 14:15 to 15:10. An additional session takes place Monday, September 7, from 9:00 to 10:10 (four courts).
Admission is free for eligible participants with a valid Accès Gatineau + card. Non-member rates effective September 1, 2026: $7.50 per participating person under 18, including a participating child aged 12 or under; $15 per participating accompanying parent aged 18–64; $7.50 per participating accompanying parent aged 65 and over.
At the Centre sportif, on-site sign-in records the Accès Gatineau + card number or each participant’s full name. Courts are assigned in arrival order for the first time block; in the later block, new players have priority and vacant courts are assigned by lottery among players already present. To claim free admission, present a valid Accès Gatineau + card at reception. All participants must be on the court five minutes after the session begins.
Groups of two or four are encouraged. Groups may be paired and doubles may be required when demand is high; children must remain accompanied by a parent. Players stay in the same group for both time blocks.
Private training and lessons are not permitted; open play only.
Bring your own equipment; none is available to borrow or rent on site. Non-marking athletic shoes are required. Court access is subject to availability.
Court entry is permitted 10 minutes before the activity begins.
