Water Words is a poetic journey from Canada to Senegal, bringing the many stories of water to life through puppetry, object theatre, storytelling and live music. Mamby and Hélène are two friends living worlds apart—one in Senegal and the other in Canada. Between hot sand and snow, abundant water and the need to fetch it in buckets, their stories explore the ways this precious resource shapes our lives. Created through a collaboration between Québec’s Théâtre Motus and Senegal’s Djarama, this family show offers an encounter between cultures and a reflection on abundance, scarcity and our shared responsibility for water. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Running time: approximately 50 minutes.
