Rachmaninov et ses Danses symphoniques

Presented by Frédéric Lacroix, this concert for wind quintet and piano brings together W. A. Mozart’s Quintet K. 452 and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, in an arrangement by Frédéric Lacroix. Rachmaninoff’s final masterpiece, the Symphonic Dances blend profound nostalgia, reflections on death and exceptional creative maturity. To set the stage for this feast for the ears, the programme features the quintet for winds and piano that Mozart considered his finest work.
