Stress is part of our daily lives, but do we really understand it? Presented in connection with the Studio pas de stress exhibition, this talk features Marie-France Marin, a neuroscientist and professor whose research explores the links between the brain, hormones and stress. Drawing on the latest scientific discoveries, the talk challenges common misconceptions about stress. Discover the mechanisms that trigger the stress response, the effects of acute or chronic stress on physical and mental health, and why we are so exposed to stress today. You will also learn to recognize the signs of stress, better understand what fuels it, and discover simple, research-backed strategies to help regulate your stress response. This talk combines accessible science with practical tools to help you better understand stress and learn to live with it. Access to the temporary Studio pas de stress exhibition is available from 6:30 p.m. The talk begins at 7 p.m.
