comment debord

Formed in 2016, Montreal band comment debord plays groovy, laid-back rock with a focus on lyrics. Drawing inspiration notably from the music of the 1970s, the seven-piece band offers a distinctly Québécois sound that blends disco, funk, indie and folk influences. Following comment debord in 2020 and monde autour in 2023, two albums embraced by critics and audiences alike, the band earned several nominations at the 2024 ADISQ Gala (including Critics’ Choice Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Song of the Year), won the Prix Espoir FEQ in 2025 and performed at MTelus during the Francos de Montréal on a double bill with Bon enfant. comment debord is currently preparing a third release that promises to get people dancing and bring them together.
