Qualité Motel

Qualité Motel is a party machine run by the guys from Valaire, blending DJ sets, Top 40 remixes and mash-ups, and original compositions. Live, the group rejects the idea of guilty pleasures: fun is fun, all the time. On record, they celebrate Quebec artists by inviting them to sing over electro-pop productions. Over roughly fifteen years, Qualité Motel has collaborated with Mitsou, Elisapie, Karim Ouellet, Marie-Élaine Thibert in a duet with Fanny Bloom, and Koriass and Christian Bégin on the hit “Basilic.” Following the albums Motel Califorña (2012) and C’est pas la qualité qui compte (2018), and the EPs C’est la quantité qui compte (2020) and Les plus grands duos francophones de l’année (2022), the group unveiled Clé en main in May 2025. Their third album draws on dance music from the 1990s and early 2000s, featuring collaborations with Muzion, Boogát, Marie-Pierre Arthur, RauZe, SeinsSucrer and other surprises.
