Voisinages

Le Vent du Nord presents a new concert directed by Michel Faubert, featuring songs from its 13th album, Voisinages. The quintet of singers and multi-instrumentalists brings together five-part vocal harmonies, foot percussion, hurdy-gurdy, bouzouki, Québécois bombarde, fiddles and accordion to showcase a rich, vibrant and inventive traditional music repertoire. The show explores the theme of neighbourly connections through Irish, Scottish, American folk, Acadian and francophone North American musical influences, as well as rivers, history, friendships and love. It is an invitation to dance, be moved by stories passed down through oral tradition, and draw fresh energy from these deeply rooted musical travellers.
