Les Frolics

Mentana brings together the gravelly voice and driving guitar of Robin-Joël Cool, an Acadian with an unconventional background, and the delicate piano and angelic voice of Viviane Audet. The rhythm section, featuring drummer Yannick Parent and bassist Erik West-Millette (West Trainz), moves languidly through some tracks and charges full steam ahead on others. Mentana’s new show weaves songs from their new French-language album, scheduled for release in fall 2025, together with songs from previous albums into a true epic. Robin-Joël’s rich and entertaining stories complement the songs. The show is both a grand celebration and a journey to another world!
