Yggdrasil is an object-manipulation and clown-theatre performance for children ages 3 to 6. Between a folding screen, a metal trunk and a few suitcases stands a coat rack: Yggdrasil, the tree symbolizing the origins of the world. Two boys play with figures as they tell Norse myths, turning figurines into powerful gods and stuffed animals into gargantuan monsters. From the heavenly realm of Asgard to the icy lands of Niflheim, through the seas of Midgard, Odin tries to prevent the end of the world. Against a landscape of eternal winter, Ragnarök unfolds through play. Running time: 35 minutes. A brief introduction precedes the show, and an optional facilitated discussion follows the performance.
