La Danse de la Pitoune is a storytelling show that takes audiences back to a typical Quebec village in the early 1900s. Meet Théo and Virginie, a lumberjack and log driver and the village beauty, followed by Gustave, the strongman, and a traveller who has been refused food and lodging. Judge Jutras must solve a mystery in court, the ageing village rooster gives the villagers headaches, and an unusual merchant may—or may not—help some of them fulfil their wishes. This expanded version of the show continues with a grandmother whose story addresses an issue affecting more and more people and families, before concluding with the village sexton. Duration: 75 minutes. Ages 14 and up, not because of vulgarity, but because some life experience helps audiences fully appreciate the stories.
