Invited onto a television set, Rousse discovers that the crew has arranged a live reunion with her brother, whom she has not seen for 29 years. The problem: he died in a fire in 1997. Is it a hallucination, a tasteless sketch or an attempt to make “good television”? Her brother then starts appearing in unlikely places, and unfinished conversations and arguments resume almost as before. Imagining her brother’s possible lives leads Rousse to reconsider her own. Written by Fanny Britt and directed by Alexia Bürger, this sharply humorous play blends autobiography with pure invention. Featuring Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Patrice Dubois, Simon Lacroix and Christophe Levac, this work of “auto-science-fiction” pays tribute to those who are no longer quite here, but who made us who we are—or who we might have been.
