L'effet Lisa

L’effet Lisa is an original musical theatre production by Théâtre de l’Œil Ouvert, freely inspired by the work of Richard Desjardins and conceived and directed by Jade Bruneau. This tender, poetic fable blends clear-eyed drama with biting humour, exploring nature, climate and identity issues, legacy, our relationship with the land, collective memory, love and death. On the outskirts of Company Town, somewhere in western Quebec, a forest fire rages. Where did the ember that sparked the blaze come from? This question haunts the larger-than-life characters in a story narrated by the Moon, Lisa. As people fall in love, tear each other apart, die and are born, the planet sends burning signals of the urgent need to act.
