Confession d'un enfant du siècle dernier

Five facets of a young man searching for himself. Between school and home, a teenager discovers his desires and aspirations while facing the gaze and judgment of others. In Confessions d’un enfant du siècle dernier, Michel Tremblay revisits his literary alter ego, “the fat woman’s child.” Through a multiplicity of bodies, voices and faces belonging to today’s youth, this fragmented, multi-voiced monologue explores the exhilaration and small humiliations of coming of age. It asks: should we remain on the margins, lost in dreams, or step fully into the world with everything we are and everything we carry? Directed by René Richard Cyr, with a soundtrack by Ariane Moffatt, the production features Étienne Courville, Élie Dorval, Émile Ouellette, Nour Shoukry and Madani Tall. Together, they give voice to the teenager who, discovering his individuality, began dreaming of becoming a writer.
