Zamân ou on a le même temps qu'on avait

Zamân means “time” in Farsi, Hebrew and Arabic. It is also a show by Mani Soleymanlou centred on the precise moment his mother is diagnosed with brain tumours. Time stretches and leaps, moving between memories of his own experience with cancer and reflections on family and our perception of time in an ever-accelerating world. Both funny and poignant, Zamân ou on a le même temps qu’on avait brings Mani Soleymanlou together with the band Valaire to recreate the intimate, relaxed atmosphere of a jazz club. It is a setting for sharing confidences, where soaring saxophone passages and drum solos can replace words, time seems to stand still, and the unexpected can happen at any moment.
