Porte ouverte

A contemporary storytelling performance by Serge Yvan Bourque, presented in an early-evening format. The day after New Year’s Day, an elderly woman knocks on the door of a young family who have recently moved into a historic house in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul. Fragments of the house’s and neighbourhood’s past come in with her, linking the destinies of three families in different eras. A story about doors… the kind that open when it feels as though they are all closed. Running time: 70 minutes, without intermission. Presented in collaboration with Circuits Paroles Vivantes. A post-show discussion with the artists will follow the performance.
