JEAN-MICHEL BLAIS MIRADOR

With mirador, Jean-Michel Blais moves away from minimalism to create an expansive, luminous work inspired by his childhood, travels and roots. Joined on stage by a trio of musicians, he presents a musical odyssey blending piano, choirs, strings and Andean influences. The show draws on his memories: his childhood refuge in Nicolet, his discovery of Latin American music, and his explorations in Latin America and Estonia. In this new show, Blais creates a rich world where dreams, memory and imagination intersect. Through evocative pieces such as “carnavalito,” “kyrie” and “granada,” mirador invites audiences to rediscover the wonder of childhood and explore their inner landscapes.
