MICHEL RIVARD APRÈS, ON VA OÙ?

During the symbolic two weeks when the magnolia outside his bedroom window is in magnificent bloom, “the man who resembles me” (aged 74) reflects on his life, before and after death, confronting his doubts and certainties. Between a medical appointment and choosing an urn from a catalogue, between a first love and a walk in the woods with his seven-year-old grandson, he explores his search for “something greater than oneself” through monologue, poetry and song. Written and performed by Michel Rivard, with songs by Rivard and musicians François Richard, Blanche Baillargeon and Guillaume Bourque. Directed by Marie-Thérèse Fortin.
