Nic LaFlamme (QRBP) présente Lazuli

Le Minotaure presents the launch of Lazuli, a book and album by Nic LaFlamme (QRBP). Combining a 15-chapter autofiction novel with a 15-song album, the project sees the artist tell his story through melodies and prose, exploring beyond QRBP and Les Gouride. The novel follows Niko Li Lazuli as he shares memories of his father, Victor. Each chapter connects to a song Victor composed and reveals its origins. Nic Laflamme is both Niko and Victor. The stories travel around the world, accompanied by a musical universe featuring piano, mandolins, bouzouki, accordion, guitars and percussion. For this performance combining music and readings of excerpts, Nic Laflamme will be joined by Bruno Rodéo, François Gaudreault and Élise Legrand. The musical component of Lazuli was co-produced and mixed by Bruno Rodéo. Ages 18 and over.
