Monsieur le Maire

A comedy by Emmanuel Reichenbach that takes audiences behind the delightfully absurd scenes of municipal politics. Collusion, shady dealings, power struggles, boozy evenings and outsized ambitions: Monsieur le Maire follows the final days of a populist mayor determined to win his last election, even as everything around him falls apart. Against the backdrop of a frenzied election campaign, twisted strategies, love triangles, fame-seeking influencers and repeated changes of allegiance abound. A funny, fast-paced comedy that takes a sharp look at our political world. Featuring Mario Jean, Catherine Proulx-Lemay, Catherine Paquin-Béchard, Blaise Tardif and Simon Beaulé-Bulman. Directed by Mario Jean.
