comment debord

Formed in 2016, Montréal band comment debord delivers groovy, laid-back rock with a focus on lyrics. Drawing inspiration notably from the music of the 1970s, the seven-piece group offers a distinctly Québécois sound that blends disco, funk, indie and folk influences. Following comment debord in 2020 and monde autour in 2023, two albums embraced by critics and audiences alike, the band earned several nominations at the 2024 ADISQ Gala, including Album of the Year – Critics’ Choice, Pop Album of the Year and Song of the Year. They won the Prix Espoir FEQ in 2025 and performed at MTelus during the Francos de Montréal on a double bill with Bon enfant. comment debord is currently preparing a third release that promises to get people dancing and bring them together.
