Rémi Cormier

Led by Canadian trumpeter Rémi Cormier, this project blends jazz with the energy of hip-hop and electronic textures, drawing inspiration from artists such as Robert Glasper and Roy Hargrove. The group delivers dynamic, unpredictable performances—sometimes raw and daring, but always deeply musical. The repertoire focuses on Rich State of Mind, an album exploring non-material forms of wealth: creativity, human connections and resilience. Its compositions combine rhythmic sequences, jazz improvisation and electronic layers. The group also revisits pieces from Cormier’s debut album, Glimpse, where European jazz meets North African influences and reflections on the digital age. Rémi Cormier is joined by Theo Abellard on piano and keyboards, Levi Dover on upright and electric bass, and Louis-Vincent Hamel on drums.
