Following the success of the concert “Tango tango” in the 2025–2026 season, we continue exploring the repertoire of tangos for flute and guitar, performed here on the harpsichord. Tango evokes several connections with the pursuit of peace: dance and music as a metaphor for war, and the use of tango as an outlet to alleviate the horror of Nazi camps, as an expression of survival. The program features evocative tangos, including Tango Plegaria (supplication), an emblematic work associated with the Nazi camps.
